A small still voice in the back of his mind had helped keep Noah Hale alive for the past two years as a teenage member of the oldest profession in the world. Vampires, werewolves, sorcerers, werecats, spirits, and a New Orleans voodoo queen all come to focus their attention on Noah and his friends as they form the first Pride in over four hundred years. A war is brewing in Carlton and it threatens to engulf all of them, as they are pursued by Brother Bartholomew and his Huntress. Noah and his friends are caught in the middle and must fight first for understanding, then family, and finally, survival, as the stakes become higher and higher.
The Pride is the story of one of the strangest groups in the Atlantis Unleashed Universe, and covers the nocturnal side of the setting. Come along and find out how the First Pride who were so instrumental in stopping the dragons in the Dragonwar came into existence.

So while this book seems like it should be the spinoff series from another series, (it might be I'm not sure). The book was confusing at first, but if you give it time to grow on you, I'm almost positive you'll love it just as much as I did.
