It is hard to keep your mind on the story when every second or third page slaps you with a typo, bad English, words missing or just plain bad writing. Nothing about this book gives even a hint that the author had a plot in mind. Shallow, not even close to believable situations. Best part of the book was when it was over. I enjoyed entire series would recommend to anyone.Characters are out there and entertaining. Main character is heroic in his reaction to what happened
The series started out well and became less believable with each new book. He’s written so much better than this.
Book 3 of the series and it continues the trend of over the top, ridiculous revenge action vigilantism. Not that I mind, but I feel I would like it better as a movie or tv show where the testosterone filled theatrics can thrive and be showcased better.
This is an action-packed book the author had written in the 1980s. This helped launch his career as a television write. Vigilante Brett Macklin, the real Mr. Jury, is hitting the killings in Los Angeles as a sadist, who hungers for victims, stalks the streets. He also calls himself Mr. Jury. Macklin has 70 hours to hunt down the impostor. Time and luck are running out. Full of action, fast moving, enticing, and a little spooky. A very entertaining read.
As with the first book of the series, The Jury, I wanted to see what happens next. As I have said before, thank heavens for Unlimited.
This is, again, a novella, so a very quick read.
The history of a 1959 Cadillac is amazing. And I did look it up. The new rebuild, replacing the one so sadly blown up in the previous outing, is indeed a Batmobile.
Brett's car, happily reinforced as the Batmobile, plays a vital role in this part of the story.
Brett's friend, Shaw, starts the story buried alive. An LA Times reporter figures out who Brett really is. Until someone else shows up on the scene, she's prepared to run the story.
I just had to look. All three of the previous novellas, and presumably the last, were first published in 1979, the year I purchased my Oldsmobile Cutlass. I mourn that car. But considering Oldsmobile went out of business about 20 years ago (GM, I will never forgive you) and the smoking in public places pretty much gave it away.
Back to my review. I am not sure, but this one has a lot more violence than the previous two. As before, Mr. Goldberg's descriptive narrative puts you into the story. His background as a scriptwriter only makes the theory more plausible.
Plenty of action, even with guns, and a storyline that will most likely carry into the next (and last) episode, this has to be my favorite so far.
What will happen with Shaw?

Same story, different episode..Just finished this one, and it had just as many editing errors as the first two in this series... Very frustrating to constantly have to stop and look at a phrase or word to comprehend what the author intends..Great plot, plenty of action, but disappointing..Maybe #4 will be better..You feel cheated, even though the books are only a couple of bucks each..
